There is an orphanage in Jinja, UG. Run by ultra-conservative white Evangelicals. The white woman who opened the home adopted 2 Ugandan girls. She later married an Indian man who would call the girls “cockroaches”. She justified it as a playful *joke*.

In recent years, the orphanage has had new directors take over. Another conservative evangelical couple who adopted Black kids. This time from Ethiopia. They also have white bio kids.

When asked, the father said he would NOT be okay with his white daughter marrying a Black man.

Tell us again how white people *can’t be racist if they adopt Black children*. Our hearts break for the further trauma these kids endure being raised in conservative white evangelicalism, constantly brainwashed to believe they are less-than the white saviors who “rescued” them.
