NOVOSEXUALITY: A THREAD

Novosexuality is the combination of gender fluidity and abrosexuality. Essentially, novosexuals are people whose gender identity fluctuates along with their sexuality. The type, range and phase varies for an individual.(1/n)

The basic difference between novos and abros are that sexual shifts are based on gender as well. Abros have a shift in their sexual orientation without their gender being a factor.

People who identify themselves as novosexuals are rare. The reasons being - (2/n)

1. Many arent aware of the existence of such a sexuality 2.Many feel that it is the same as questioning.
For the former part, the only thing that can be done is to explore and learn more about the '+' communities in the LGBTQ+ spectrum. (3/n)

As someone who felt strongly as an ace and then as bi and then straight, I thought maybe it was just phases as there wasn't a community to my knowledge that fit my type. Gender fluidity is also something I experience

The joy and comfort of finally finding a place in the queer spectrum is immeasurable. I feel accepted, seen and loved. To share and discuss such topics within your friend circle and reassuring yourself that there is a group out there for you is crucial as it impacts (5/n)

your very identity.
For the latter, there is a difference between trying to work out who you are attracted to and feeling a shift within a period of time. Questioning brings you to a definitive conclusion. (6/n)

Shifts make you polysexual and agender for a certain period and pansexual and nonbinary later.
It is not being confused, it is being fluid. This might be hard for many to digest, but it is very real and I am a living example.(7/n)

Blue:Masculinity
Green:linking gender and sexual fluidity
White:Lack of sexual attraction and gender
Pink:Femininity

The colors of the original flag mean the following: White represents neutrality. Pink represents attraction to feminine identities. Blue represents attraction to masculine identities. The 6 others outer stripes and rainbow heart represents other orientation and attractions(10/n)

My sole intention of making this thread is to encourage all of you to educate yourself and everyone around you about the existence of many sub communities as they aren't represented enough.(11/n)
