It's not just the 'born in the wrong body' narrative that's the problem.
Here are some more examples of harmful ideology aimed at children.

THREAD
From Stonewall's primary school curriculum for children aged 4 and up:
"make your PSHE sessions trans inclusive by referring to 'most girls' or 'most boys' when learning about body parts and puberty." 2/
And this from http://Scarleteen.com  another sex ed provider for young people:
"Girldick, otherwise known as clits, lady bits, a shenis, or just someone's genitals or junk is the affectionate name some people use to refer to their own or other women's penises" 3/
And another cracker from the Proud Trust
"use the phrase 'a person with a vagina' rather than 'a woman's vagina' and 'a person with a penis' instead of 'a man's penis' This is because as we will learn not all women have a vagina and not all men have a penis"

How to teach queer theory to 4-yr-olds, from Stonewall again
"Remember to teach children that 'they' 'them' and 'they' can be singular as well as plural. You could use it as an opportunity to learn that a lot of non-binary people prefer not to be referred to as 'he' or 'she'
6/
Let's not forget http://brook.org.uk
"Cis people may never have to think about their gender expression. That's because they often behave in ways that they are expected to, so people may not say much about it"
7/
You'd think http://pshe-association.org.uk  might get it right. Wrong.
"Trans: an umbrella term used to describe people whose gender is not congruent with the assumptions made about them at birth. This includes but is not limited to gender fluid, agender, non- bi- and demi-gender"
8/
Brook again, here on transitioning:
"Transitioning can involve many different elements and stages but ultimately, is concerned with changing your physical appearence and body to match you gender identity"

These are just a tiny number of examples from organisations that want to put their RSE materials into schools. This is why I welcome the first steps by the DfE to stop them doing so.
