Nilasaraswathi - Tara Mahavidya - Nada Swaroopa

Nilasaraswathi belongs to the Tantric Agama parampara, specifically kaula Marga tradition. The word Tara comes from the word tr,to traverse. It means one who helps us cross , tarayati and one who crosses tarati.
She is the form of Naada, the substratum of all sounds, words and meanings that we manifest in our lives. She is that source of sound which ultimately reveals the Truth of Shoonya or the void which is nothingness and deep mouna.
Nada is one of the trayas that emanates as a manifestation of vak or sabda Brahman. The other two being Kala and Bindu. Nada , Bindu, kala are the first three emergents that diversify as panch boothas, karmeindriyas, Jnanendriyas- all the myriad life forms and in sentient matter
Nilasaraswathi is also called Pasyanthi para Devata. There are four  levels of vak or human speech. The articulate or expressed  speech which is called vaikhari. ( both written and spoken forms of communication) , Madhyama, which is the configuration of language and meanings
and language forms. And para vaak which belongs to the unmanifested realm of all sounds.

Nilasaraswathi represents para vak and Pasyanthi. (I love this name Pasyanthi for a girl ❣).Its fascinating to listen to someone speak and see if their vaak reaches the realm of Pasyanth
or it's originating from Pasyanthi! Or more interesting to be consciously utter words through Her. Not easy but that's the beauty of Tara Ma. ❣💙
Our kala especially Gandharva vidya originates from Para, moves through Pasyanthi, Madyama and Vaikhari and takes one back to the primal Nada Om as an anubhuti. That's the sole purpose of Nadopasana. Not giving and going to concerts!
Our Rishis' Vani emanates from the realm of para vaak and hence they have such power at the vaikhari level.

Tara parampara is practiced by Buddhists as well. However the source of Tara and Nilasaraswathi is sourced in many of our Shastric texts like Todala Tantra,
Tara Mahavidya and other Agama texts.

One who wants to inquire into the nature of Nada in its entirety need to explore the realm of Nilasaraswathi
She is Tara whi helps us cross over the Samsara and also traverses as Shabdha jala towards the source of all sounds as Om - Nada
Shall stop here..

Jai Nilasaraswathi
