What on earth is the mental health problem here? What could psychiatry do for a student in this situation?
Maybe there's a role for doctors in triaging requests to go home. If they're /really/ fed up and I write a letter to the university will the security guards let them leave?
It's a fantastic example of the language of mental health being used to absolve institutions of an actual duty of care.
