I just read about a German girl who became a spy in the camps. I don't know if it's true, but there also sisters who returned to their homelands and fell into their old Jahiliyya lifestyle or those who sold other sisters to ease their own hardships. And while we know
which ruling these things have in Islam, no one of us should be hasty and think she would never fall into this, especially when threatened with taking your children etc. May Allah protect us all from such affliction. But the advice I wanna give sisters, including myself is that
we really need to learn our religion and establish them like firm roots in ourselves, and not merely adapt from your husband or a scholar, or depend on them, and when they go astray or your husband passes away, you turn 180 degrees and become weak. And yes, usually we women are
more weak and emotionally unstable, but that's why we have to stick more to our Islamic principles and ask Allah for steadfastness. Your belief is what you should hold onto, not your husband and his principles or a certain scholar! We need to learn to be strong alone also and
especially if you are on that path, then the loss of your husband is something you should prepare for and that after that you still have to work for your Jannah and "don't rest upon the fruits" of someone else. Let's not even talk about such path subhanAllah, how many women
started to doubt this religion and at left end left it after bad experiences in their marriages?
And we read so many times how sisters went astray and indulge in filtyh sins, but do we just look down upon them and feel safe from such affliction or do we learn from it and try our
best to protect ourselves from falling into the same? The clever one is the one who learns from the mistakes of others. May Allah keep our hearts firm upon this Deen and save us from afflictions in our Deen.
"...And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah, and Allah will give reward to those who are grateful." (3:144)
