Ranking all 61 episodes of Still Game from worst to best-A Thread:
61-Cats Whiskers
Complete and utter shite. This episode features by far the worst character to ever feature in the show- The Lone Wolf, who symbolises the death of ned culture.
60-The Fall Guy
Again a very poor episode from Craig Ferguson’s awful guest appearance to Methadone Mick being hugely overused. Thankfully we got another series after this otherwise the whole thing would have ended on a very shite note.
59-Heavy Petting
The last 3 series of Still Game get a lot of stick and rightly so in most cases. However Series 7 is fairly decent and would have been even better had it not been for this episode. Fairly shite no real stand out comedy moments.
58-Pie
A rather forgettable episode although the stampede in the baker scene is quite funny.
57-Local Hero
Winston’s “shut it tadger” catchphrase was quality tbf but other than that is basically just a rehash of the ‘Gadgets’ Episode with Martin Compston selling phones.
56-Dead Leg (Parts 1 and 2)
Not too bad an episode. Although the ending was predicted by most it was nice to see that Tam does actually have a generous side to him.
55-Small Change
Another average one from the later Series. Isa’s world on a roll being the highlight. Navid and Boaby swapping jobs was also quite funny.
54-South Africa
A nice nod to the original stage show and a decent episode all round. Plenty better however.
53-Job
Another episode that features a lot of Mick however this one unlike ‘The Fall Guy’ is genuinely funny at parts. Winston and Shug searching the chambers for the old parking ticket is a quality sub plot too.
52-Shooglies
Another one that isn’t bad but isn’t too entertaining either.
51-Cold Turkey
The first Christmas special is a fairly decent episode but weak compared to others.
50-Down and Out
A decent episode which shows the community spirit of Craiglang. The stuff with Jack, Victor and Isa in the retirement home is gold.
49-All The Best
Some decent stuff in this one. Fergie’s stag doo and Jack and Victors’ visit to see Ella aka Ken Dodd to name a couple.
48-Gadgets
A quality comeback episode. Winston’s brothers’ arrival gives us a nice insight to his past.
47-Fresh Lick
Some decent material in this one. Boaby’s old porno steals the show though.
46-Hot Seat
A classic example of the friendly rivalries occasionally shown by some of the main characters. Eric’s “I used tae be in the Fire Brigade, I’m gonnae say something” line kills me every time.
45-Brief
“It’s rainin... and am steamin” will forever be one of the best quotes from the programme.
44-Wireless
Navid being “the prince of pish”, “ROSEMARY YA BASTARDS” and “Vic Vaughn” just some of the quality moments from this episode.
43-Courtin
An episode showing that Jack and Victor without one another just wouldn’t be right. Also the first time we hear the legendary words “pint a Guinness”.
42-Waddin
The boys tanning Wullies house for all the stuff he’s tapped over the years thinking he’s dead is sheer gold. This episode features legendary quotes such as “av got that paintin”, “it’s no a rest am needin it’s a box of special K” and “nae danger Kenny”.
41-Scones
A treasure trove of memorable quotes such as “GET THEY GINGES TOOK”, “take yer cakes and fancy tarts and stick them up yer shiter” and my personal favourite “Aye Simon, THE PRICK”
40-Doacters
An episode fondly remembered for the Slosh dance towards the end. Other classic moments include Eric’s tales of his troubles down bellow and Winston making Tam’s grandson (who we never heard of again by the way) cry.
39-Cauld
The one where Winston cons the leccy board. Best remembered for they clansman hyperthermia sweepstake, “Pay for yer call it keeps the bill small” and “it’s a pair o these yer wantin”
38-Hatch
A classic example of the shit Isa’s gossiping leads to. The ending is simply sublime
37-Faimly
Jack and Victor’s day at central station is pretty decent. Winston v Peggy is a great sub plot too along with other additions such as the “weclome” door mat and “hawf two”.
36-Grim Up North
A quality goodbye to the legend that is Eric. His shrine at the puggy was beautiful đŸ˜Ș.
35-Hitched
A quality feel good episode with notable guest appearances from Amy McDonald, Midge Ure and the Bluetones.
34-Smoke On The Water
Jack, Victor and Winston on a dingy sailing down the Kelvin. A simple but brilliant plot with some classic moments. “Many happy returns, we aw clubbed together and got ye a telly” is one of the best quotes in the whole show.
33-The Undrinkables
A fitting Tribute to Pete the Jakey and Jack D’Arcy. Also the episode highest audience number on record.
32-Ring
Jack trying to shit out a wedding ring and Navid showing 2 fingers to a consortium. Brilliant stuff.
31-Saucy
A follow up to ‘All The Best’ Jack and Victor go to finport in search of Winston whilst enjoying a couple of Bacardi and Diet Lemonades in the process.
30-Aff
“That’ll be £5.60 for your drinks please Mr Brando” wins the episode.
29-The Party
Nice mix of past and present in this Hogmanay special where Jack, Victor, Winston and Isa reminisce over a party on the same night back in 1975.
28-Balls Up
One of the better episodes from the later series. Mick’s performance as the tournament mascot is one of his best.
27-One In One Out
The last regular episode for 10 years. Mostly remembered for Tam’s appearance on Lorraine Kelly and this moment here.
26-Over The Hill
A perfect ending for the characters and the show. Lump in my throat at the ending.
25-Hoaliday
Jack and Victor head of to Canada whilst Winston uses Isa to get some decent grub. Class episode.
24-Who’s The Daddy?
Seeing Jack, Victor and Winston all shitting themselves over the fact they may have a secret son only to find out he’s really Pete’s is brilliant. “I’m looking for a man called Navid” at the end is another class quote to add to the never ending collection.
23-Recipe
Jack and Victor acting as Lawyers as Tam becomes a Dad? Yep this did happen. A real shame that Pete diddnt get the compensation however as it would have been a nice ending for the character in his last appearance.
22-Dug
This episode features the events preceding “Hoaliday” and is ever so slightly better. Highlights include Victor’s “depressed” Robot Dog Matthew and Winston pretending to shag Isa.
21-Gairden
What actually happened to the roof top garden on top of Osprey Hights btw? Can only presume the council caught on after Kaiser the dug fell.
20-Swottin
Mark the quiz master was a quality guest addition. NAE POINTS PRICK!
19-Seconds Out
Featuring guest appearances from Jim Watt and Michelle McMannus, Boaby and Stevie’s rivalry made this episode a true classic.
18-Scran
Jack, Victor and Winston become pro caterers and piss off a “clean psycho” as described by Winston. Never forget Winston saying “1800 good men went down that day” as if they’d died when in reality they’d just gotten the shits.
17-Lights Out
A truck crashing into a power station causes everybody to panic buy from Navid’s like it’s the early days of COVID. The episode ends with Winston using the method of putting Snooker Balls in a sock as seen in the 1979 Ray Winston film “Scum” to see of some burglars.
16-Tappin

“There’s a money lender in Craiglang”

“**whistle** wa wa wa”
15-Hyper
“Where are yous when a need you? HYPERDALES, shopping like posh spice on coke” was a stroke of genius.
14-Hootenanny
The line about Gary Glitter has me in stitches every time along with “HAPPY NEW YEAR YA SHEEP SHAGGING ARSEHOLES”
13-Oot
A real shame we never got to see former Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy as Archie again. One of the best guest characters to feature.
12-Dial A Bus
Robbie Coltrane guest staring as a mental bus driver whilst Winston runs a mock in the Clansman with Boaby gone you say? Comedy gold written all over it. Eric’s rendition of Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ is next level.
11-Fly Fishing
By far the best episode of the newer series. This episode is true classic Still Game.
10-Fly Society
I’m not sure what my favourite lie told in this episode is. Probably Jack’s claim of “I’ve got a boat”
9-Hard Nuts
If ‘Blightys hardest boozers’ actually existed then you bet I’d be watching it. Mind you I suppose Britain’s Toughest Pubs was close enough
8-Buntin
Navid, Shug and Winston looking for a fox in the middle of the night whilst Jack and Victor stalk Pete the Jakey just says great episode really. Although I can hear a ned shouting “naw it disnae”
7-Big Yin
Clive Russel was bloody brilliant as Innes. A true classic and probably the first thing you think of when you see a bottle of midouri.
6-Flittin
What an introduction. “Open the door for I am a bogus gas man and am here tae ransack... yer hoose”
5-Wummin
“This is the ballad of Mrs Begg

Who doubted Winston’s dodgy leg

Now she waits on me round the clock

Because she got fond of

AULD

BERTS

COCK”

Admit it you sang that
4-Drama
Winston finally gets one over Stevie thanks to the help of John McCririck while Jack and Victor get sloshed at a whisky distillery. That just tells you it’s a classic
3-Plum Number
The boys teaming up to try and cheat Boaby out of the puggy’s jackpot is inspiring stuff.
2-Kill Wullie
If you’re after a load of classic still game quotes look no further. This episode includes classics such as:

“I like the PlayStation”
“Got any condoms Navid?”
“When life hands you melons, make melonade”
And “You smoked yer leg aff?”
1-Cairds
A simply faultless episode from start to finish. From “I’ll focus my boot on yer arse” to “Ladies and Gentlemen, Shug...and two polis. By far the greatest episode of any series
