Art 370 was amended and eroded thought Presidential Orders in 1950, 1952, 1954 and in addition to this FORTY-SEVEN Presidential orders were issued between 11 February 1956 and 19 February 1994 to render Art 370 ornamental.

Apparently nobody is culpable and responsible.

In May, 1956 the titles of Prime Minister and Sadr-i-Riyasat were officially changed to Chief Minister and Governor, respectively.

In 1975, Prime minister Indira Gandhi and Sheikh Abdullah signed “Kashmir Accord”, reemphasizing J&K was an integral part of India.

It was here (in the backdrop of the “Kashmir Accord”) in 1975 when Indira Gandhi said the “clock cannot be put back in this manner” to pre-1953 relations between the Indian Union and J&K, suggesting that a referendum (a demand by the Plebiscite Front) is not possible.

Post the “Kashmir Accord” - in 1975 - after dropping the demands espoused from 1953 onwards, Sheikh Sahab became the Chief Minister of J&K with Congress support.

THIS is where 370 was murdered in cold blood.

In 2019 it was given a burial - after 44 years of its murder.

Very important to put these facts out there - especially for our youth - lest they be misled into believing that our culprits are our crusaders somehow.

Lot to answer before 2019 too - that’s not when your history starts or your culpability in constitutional assaults ends!
