once you realize that all men like to think of themselves as the exception, insisting on a faux "i hate men" online persona and then making exceptions for certain men renders your position functionally null, accomplishes nothing, and in many cases encourages patriarchal violence.

the usual justification for this is some variation of "well, they don't seem to uphold misogyny" but how does that alter the reality that they are men? and how does this affect the other half where women are capable of upholding misogyny as well? does that alter them being women?
