One of the random things I notice about myself:

I have a lot more trouble *reading* intimate scenes, in text,

Than I do in virtually any other medium...

Depending on how well written it is, a good intimate scene in a written work, can just Stop Me In My Tracks,

I know this relates to a lot of my other media consumption issues (awkwardness / anxiety surrounding sustained dramatic / tense moments)

I think a good scene / scenario, can just play off of my 15 different social anxieties & things that can act as stressors,

And while I still feel this when engaging in audiovisual work,

I think reading requires such an active engagement for me… and can be descriptive enough…
