If you think lockdowns work and want continuing restrictions. Ask yourself these questions

THREAD
Is there any real world evidence of lockdowns slowing the spread of the virus?

How many deaths dying in a viral season is a reasonable number to 'unlock' and go back to normal?

If zero, do you want to do this forever?
How does the current deaths by covid compare to bad flu seasons of the past?

If lockdown caused fewer deaths, then is there real world proof of how many it saved?

Does lockdown lead to other deaths that otherwise wouldn't have happened?
Does a worse economy lead to deaths that otherwise wouldn't have happened?

Does streamlining the NHS lead to deaths that otherwise wouldn't have happened?

Does a year of on and off schooling(maybe more) affect life chances of poorer children?
Does lockdown disproportionately affect the poor?

Will the laws implemented during lockdown be ever rolled back fully?

Why is someone at fault for passing on covid but not flu in the past?

Is there moral authority for a government to ask who a person can or can't see legally?
