A few bits & pieces below as promised re ADHD hormonal imbalances

My estrogen is ⬇️ & Progesterone is ⬆️ rn, so this is very much a 1st draft brain dump, but would love for others to share anything else they find/know

*'s are next to any anecdotal bits as I'm not an expert!🥰 https://twitter.com/NDaoshea/status/1309215968586063872
Our progesterone and oestrogen levels have an impact on cognitive performance (as well as a whole host of other things)

As they fluctuate throughout the month, they either improve or impede our executive functioning.
High oestrogen is associated with better cognitive performance, whilst a combination of low oestrogen & high progesterone are linked with... well, the opposite.

Dr Quinn describes this as a 'premenstrual magnification of ADHD symptoms'
9:57 onwards:
Dr Quinns YouTube interview was back in 2011... I cannot rap my head around how we have hardly built on the amazing work she did NINE years ago?!?!?! Not just with the lack of research, but the lack of awareness and support we could all really do with!!
I've got so much more to add to this but my brain is mush tonight - please share any info that you come across as well 🧠🧠🥰 I'll pin this for now so can keep coming back to it
@JaredDeFife has kindly shared the below study on executive function difficulties and menopause - thank you so much!
