An Armenian gravestone was found in the town Khost, in Pakistan. The place has been under British rule in the 1800's. There is a railway line that the British laid there called the Sindh-Pishin railway line. The place is currently in the Harnai district of Balochistan.
Thanks to dear Liz Chater, we know the story of this tombstone: She was called Sarah Nicholas, born 7 Nov.1897 in Calcutta to Mining Engineer Nicholas S. Nicholas & his wife Josephine. The little girl must have died when her father was working in the area & they buried her there
As Liz Chater told me, the stone was made and carved in Calcutta and sent out there for the grave. This was something that was done regularly. A number of the Armenian tombstones in Dhaka Bangladesh were made in Calcutta and sent there.
