Anyone keep hearing things like “If you don’t feel safe sending your kids back to school, then don’t return. Johnny misses his friends and we need to return. ”

So distance learning this week has been taken over with videos and explanations on how hybrid will work for students returning next week. Which means my kids have done very little during class bec they are remaining online. None of the info mattered to them. Wasted class time-

I decided to watch the video and now I’m wondering how in 5 mins kids will walk to class, take temp one at a time, grab wipes, figure out if a red or blue desk, clean it down, and be ready to start. My kid will be logged on just sitting there, waiting on Johnny-

Teachers will need to control the class, which already is a pain in the ass on a typical year. But now it’s Johnny who misses his friends (even though we’ve seen the pics Sally, and know damn well he’s been hanging out w/friends since March)and he’ll need to talk & disrupt shit-

Kids need to also clean their desk again before leaving, so teachers will need to wrap up early to allow them time. While my kids online sit. It’s only a 50 min class.Teachers are expected to teach online kids AND in-person students at the same time. Because Johnny is depressed.-

Teachers and distance learners are being screwed over. But don’t worry Sally, the world revolves around Johnny so as long as he’s happy then fuck everyone else.

Hey Johnny, don’t mind Mrs Smith’s dead body in the hallway. Just step over her to get to soccer practice. Go Tigers!

One last compaint, my kinder kid gets 1 hr 45 mins of synchronous instruction. Now, baby Johnny will get longer because he’s special and deserves it. But I’d still like to know why the district thought “hey, lets really fuck with these teachers and give them multiple grades too”.
