Hey @ProHockeyLife_ I went with my son and daughter to PHL to get some kit for this season. It& #39;s my 5 yr old daughter& #39;s 1st time playing. Shortly after getting into the store, she said "Hockey& #39;s for boys." Then I actually LOOKED around the store.
There wasn& #39;t a single poster, billboard, or sign, inside or out, featuring a female player. Not one. Aside from the occasional pepto-bismol pink piece of equipment and a few sections of women& #39;s clothing, there was no indication that women play this sport.
It took me a minute to clue in, but my 5-yr-old noticed. She kept looking at the posters and at one point asked where the girls were. That& #39;s an unfortunate message she took in right away.
We don& #39;t care about the availability of pink helmets - we want to see women players on posters as big & prominent as the men& #39;s. Women of all colors, in full gear, tearing up the ice. It would look great. It might turn a little girl into a life-long customer. #HockeyIsForEveryone
