The message seems to not be getting through. Consumers need to get a grip! Equally #livestock play a key role in reducing #foodwaste and #upcycle into nutritious protein @TheAHDB @dairyuk @NFUmilkman @paulflanaga https://amp.theguardian.com/business/2020/sep/24/its-time-to-get-serious-about-food-waste-in-fight-against-global-heating-paris-climate?CMP=share_btn_tw&__twitter_impression=true
This is not a new thing

The 'individual choices' cannot eradicate the problems, but they can help in a profound way to influence retail, farming policy and practice, and it is in the power of all of us to make them #PowerOfOne @PromarSustain @promarinternat1
There are great businesses like @OddboxLDN who are innovating to contribute solutions, working with farmers to redistribute what otherwise would be wasted. Also loads of great work by @WRAP_UK but still I see so much waste generated needlessly by us! People who should know better
71% of food waste generated in UK 2018 was by householders equivalent to 6.6MT, 25 MT GHG emissions...
Dairy farm emissions in the similar period roughly 1.9-2.1 MT GHG... we have to focus on all emission sources but we also need some perspective. #consumers need to be in harmony with food systems @fleroy1974 @Caroline_Stocks @CarolineJDawson @HertsFarmer @eatfarmnow
