disclaimer: this thread is to help prevent binge eating, not eating a normal meal. i personally think binge eating can be just as dangerous as restricting so please only use these tips if you feel the urge to binge, not if you feel the urge to eat a normal amount of food.

- coloring: personally coloring is a really helpful way to prevent binge eating, it distracts me for at least a few hours and finishing my coloring seems more satisfying than binge eating.

- water: drinking water fills me up a lot and sometimes one glass of water feels like i just ate a full meal. if youβre getting binge urges have a couple glasses of water and see how you feel afterwards.

- tidying: tidying helps so much when i can feel myself about to binge lol iβm not sure why.

- pinterest: i love organising and making new pinterest boards, it can keep me distracted for a good few hours and by the time iβm done my binge urges are almost completely gone or at least have become much more manageable.

- mukbangs: this could make people feel worse so please be careful but personally for me watching people eat makes me feel like iβm eating the food too ?? idk but it works.

- think about why you want to binge: i tend to binge when iβm sad or stressed, most times i canβt fix the problem itself ( because my sadness usually stems from my depression ) but understanding and figuring exactly why i want to does help.

- we heart it: we heart it is like pinterest, you can make new boards and thereβs loads of aesthetically pleasing pictures on there and has pictures for pretty much any aesthetic.

- documentaries: i love documentaries especially about eating disorders, i think theyβre so interesting and keep me distracted for ages.

- online shopping: i never actually buy anything because iβm being more responsible w my money but itβs always fun to look, i usually add things to my amazon wish list.
