I've barely watched #MiraculousLadybug but I find it interesting that the Adrianette ship has not been satisfied yet by the show's producers and that got me thinking: Why is it that most tv shows don't feature the protagonists in relationships or wait till the end for that.
Most of the times the protagonists want to get into a relationship and either never really obtain one or they only do so during the serie's finale. I think there are many reasons for this and it's something that could be changed for a bigger impact on viewers.
1.- In many series the story does not revolve around the characters getting into relationships and thus do not focus on that. Such as:

Regular Show
Kenan and Kel
Adventure Time
ATLA
Legend of Korra
Drake and Josh
2.-When talking about cartoons specifically, most of them feature children as the main characters, so I believe studios don't want to enforce the notion that kids must have relationships at that age. Throughout this thread I'll only deal with shows I've watched.
