We all know that the chapters 120-121 had one of the biggest reveals and events from all chapters written in Aot, and has a big influence on Zeke’s character that might play a role in his next appearance hopefully
The chapters are dedicated to the Yeager brothers POV towards their father, but their opinions were inconstant, and the further we go the more they change, we now I’ll be going through the chapter and writing the changed of their view points, and then compare the begging & end
(1)
× To note out before we start :
- We all know about Zeke’s view of Grisha
- He just saw him as a selfish manipulative man that is ready to throw his family away in order to achieve his own delight of saving Eldia and he doesn't actually love them.

- He is completely convinced that Eren is entirely brainwashed by Grisha.
- He doesn't define Grisha as “dad”, he rather would just call him by his name, explains his identity by criticism, “That father of ours”, “your father/dad” “other father”
- He doesn't define Grisha as “dad”, he rather would just call him by his name, explains his identity by criticism, “That father of ours”, “your father/dad” “other father”
- that's just saying how low he view of him, and that it isn't some pass by thing that could be ignored because it (will) influence his comeback
- that's just to prove how imp of a role this plays, almost 2 chapters were made in order to see their view of him
- that's just to prove how imp of a role this plays, almost 2 chapters were made in order to see their view of him
- note that before Eren reveals to Zeke, Zeke says “we have gained the power of the founder” only to change it to “I gained the power of the founder” after he reveals to Eren.
(2) • post-memories
Eren reveals his true intentions to Zeke and betrays him, when Zeke questions it Eren uses “because I was born into this world” as his reasoning.
- it doesn't play up for Zeke, he asks him whether that was Grisha's brainwashing

((There's some panels I’ll be leaving for another part because they play at their own concerns in another matter)) *read the panels lol*
Here's a summary though :
• Check point 1
- first the point where I said how Zeke defined Grisha implied twice here
Here's a summary though :
• Check point 1
- first the point where I said how Zeke defined Grisha implied twice here
- He truly trusted Eren, we could even call it blindly, for a person who scored 11/10 in intelligence, he could've at least saw through his acts, instead he was actually questioning it and was kinda amused. " „Eren? Eren..” "
- “I should have known”
- “I should have known”
- “I’m glad I waited to hear how you actually feel”
Saying that he waited all this time and hid the fact that he could've used the power of the founder long ago when Eren arrived JUST he can hear how Eren 'truly felt' isn't just something, when he could've achieved his ambition.
Saying that he waited all this time and hid the fact that he could've used the power of the founder long ago when Eren arrived JUST he can hear how Eren 'truly felt' isn't just something, when he could've achieved his ambition.
He preferred to do it with the one he trusts most, the one he thought understood him, and make sure that out of his own motive and not some else's, that how far he would go for the one he cherishes and ‘understands’
- He tells Eren that he’ll be using the power of the founder+
- He tells Eren that he’ll be using the power of the founder+
+ just so he can “Fix” Grisha's brainwashing
So
• He waited for Eren to arrive when he had the chance to achieve his motive.
• He could’ve used the power of the founder but he waited JUST so he can use it on Eren and fix him
- what I’m trying to say here, is that+

He doesn't want to believe that the only person alive who he thought understood him would betray him so he's using the “brainwashing” for the slightest chance to believe that Eren the person he trusts wouldn't do such thing on his own, and if he fixes him he might in fact come+
Become his own person and trust Zeke back
• Check point 2
“You needed someone to rescue you as well”
The meaning of this line speaks for itself
“I had another father. one who rescued me”
He mentions Ksaver, the only man who truly understood him once but isn't there to anymore
• Check point 2
“You needed someone to rescue you as well”
The meaning of this line speaks for itself
“I had another father. one who rescued me”
He mentions Ksaver, the only man who truly understood him once but isn't there to anymore
“I swear I will not abandon you”
This just how much he’s attached to the fact that there's someone to understand him, that only adds to my previous points
“I will use the power of the founder to fix you”
He’s willing to use the power of a “god” to fix Eren

“I will use the power of the founder to fix you”
He’s willing to use the power of a “god” to fix Eren
And why would he go as far as that?
1. The obvious reason is that he doesn't want anyone to experience the same as he did with Grisha
2. He believes Grisha is completely blinded by the freedom of Eldia and he isn't that pure of a person to actually love his own family

2. He believes Grisha is completely blinded by the freedom of Eldia and he isn't that pure of a person to actually love his own family
3. Once again, he doesn't want to lose Eren he actually believed understands him
-Despite Eren telling him it's pointless knowing that he isn't brainwashed, Zeke is still dedicated to do it and the zoom into his eyes just shows how much he cherishes the ones of his own
“When I save the world, I’ll do it with you”
This line almost seals all my previous points

This line almost seals all my previous points
(So now that we're actually going in, I hope my previous analysis gave a clear idea and I wasn't just babbling nonsense since that how it felt rereading my own analysation lol)
ANYWAYS
So I'm gonna leave a point whenever their POV slightly change
And then compare the 1st to last

• Point of views
Zeke : believes that Eren isn't doing this from his intention but only betrayed him because he's doing it according to Grisha's brainwashing
Eren : believes it's pointless to try and undo Grisha's brainwashing because he wasn't brainwashed in the first place

(3) Journey
It starts with newborn Eren with Carla and Grisha, they happy they're nothing off till now.
Zeke shames Grisha for being genuinely happy with his new family for the fact that he ruined the life of the previous one
Zeke is trying to hint the fact that Grisha moved on+

Zeke is trying to hint the fact that Grisha moved on+
A little too quickly considering his past sins and the many friends turned into titans and sacrificing his own child and wife
Zeke is technically saying that Grisha just didn't actually care for his first family that he was quick on the act to create another

- Eren zeke’s motive, Zeke answers that he's going to show him that Grisha really did brainwash him, calling him by his full name.
That's the tweet limit but ayyy,
I’m gonna be making part 2 and linking it to here, but since 95% of this thread was their talk in paths and not the actual memory thingy, then the 2nd part will be dedicated for the memory alone!
I hope this doesn't flop oh god oh please.
