A LOOK INTO MORNING ROUTINE:

Earlier this week I wrote about building good habits,

Comparing a good day and bad day

This was a look at my morning

//THREAD//
Wake up at 0530 (30 minutes later than normal, I felt I needed it)

Despite being 30 minutes behind, I am still up before the sun, time to re-group
0530-0600:

Go right to the kitchen, two glasses of water, hydration is key

Sit right down, it is meditation time

Closed eyes, 25 minutes of focused breathing and meditation, conscious awareness of breath was very important today
0600-0645

Engage with some of my followers in my DMs who are in different time zones or ones I forgot to message back

Grind coffee beans, make French press coffee

Read a chapter of the current book I am engaged with, while slowly drinking black coffee, one cup only
0645-0700

Get up and briefly tidy my living space, while digesting what I just read

0700-0715

Go over the plan for the day and decide on a course of actions
0715-0745

Write down ideas, work on a thread I am collaborating with @EMPERORSALAZAR on, look for this next week!

07:45-08:15

Quick flow yoga, focused on breathing and the mobility through the movements

Movement is key

08:15-08:20

Brief post yoga cool down and relaxation
08:20-08:50

Time for a shower,

At least 50% of the duration I kept the water temperature as cold as it could go and worked on breath work and embracing discomfort

After shower, brief grooming and dress for the day
08:50-09:00

Quick meeting prep

09:00-10:30

Scientific discussion and meeting

10:30- 12:00

Focused work on my priority list of what needs to be done before lunch
12:00- 12:30

Break my 16 hour fast, I do intermittent fasting daily

Have lunch (I was lucky enough to have my beautiful spouse cook this for me today)

Others days I either eat meal prep from the night before or just have something simple and quick
Something quick and easy: Hard boiled eggs, mixed greens with olive oil, stir fry mushrooms, miscellaneous protein, and some berries on the side
Now it is focused work until 17:00

Because of this morning ritual, I am steel feeling fresh

Routine can be very important to structure your day
I have the current luxury of being able to work from home digitally

And I realize this is not an option for everyone,

But my emphasis is regarding the pre-work routine

All of this has prepared me and put me in a more conscious/focused headspace
So I can better handle the stresses of the day

Even if you start with one or two small routines, prior to rushing off to work

You will greatly benefit
Routine will bring focus to the day,

Create good habits that build you up

Align with you goals,

And create the day you want to have
