ok so a long time ago like before she started working in hollywood samara made a super short appearance in 3 episodes of some show and in one of the ones she’s in a character does blackface and the point is to show how terrible and wrong it is and how stupid the character is

but there’s a promo clip that i guess they gave her to post on her ig that shows a scene with her and the character who does that out of context and that’s kind of a really stupid marketing decision especially because now the show isn’t available anymore for context

and obviously she didn’t have control over the marketing and had to post what they gave her but it still doesn’t look good out of context and the writers of the show should have thought of a different way of conveying that message rather than showing it idk
