THREAD : If you can’t bring your own trash back, don’t go on your day trips!

Here is a picture of a sandbank that lies 3 km away from Huvafenfushi resort. People just CASUALLY keep their own trash after going on picnics thinking WAMCO is going to pick up. Or because they think the trash is magically going to dispose itself.

I was actually told that the staff of Velassaru Island picks up the trash that people keep. ( Mind you, Velassaru lies 25 km west of this sandbank - but I assumed that they meant, that the resort next door cleans this up).

So to write this post, I got in touch with someone from Velassaru and guess what people… (in case you REALLY thought that it was their job to keep the island clean) … IT’S NOT THEIR JOB. THEY DON’T DO IT.

I really cannot grasp that after all the awareness that goes around in this world, people actually do this. I am not surprised though.

So this is me saying, if you don’t give a shit about our environment, just stop going to your little trips! You don’t deserve it! You don’t deserve a single bit of it!
