Some news: on Tuesday I was laid off from Adweek. I'm so very proud of the work accomplished in just 6 months of taking on the mag's new diversity & inclusion role: launching an LGBTQ industry award, the Washington Team reporting, Brandweek Lift, and so much more.

This announcement took a couple days because frankly I was a bit stunned. Every other person in media has been laid off this year, but somehow I thought I was momentarily safe.

Now I am obviously looking for work: reporting, editing, marketing/affiliate link content.

And as painful and embarrassing as this is, I am truly scared of not being able to pay bills moving forward as I've heard horror stories about Oregon UI (taking forever, caps out at $150/week, etc).
