My mom texted me that my grandma just tested positive for covid...damn

My grandma was taken to the nearest big city via ambulance. I made it through my shift at work without completely losing my shit.

Anyone who says covid-19 is a hoax can un-fucking-follow me right now. I lost a job I had for 8 yrs bc of this, and now my grandma has it.

Just found out my grandma has been on a ventilator. She's being kept medicated, but when she wakes up her anxiety goes up and it affects her breathing.

Update: Grandma is still under sedation. They may put in a trach/take her off the ventilator next week. She was developing clots, but now she's stable and her circulation is doing better.

Update: She's been removed from the ventilator and doctors put in the trach.

Update: Grandma has been moved out of the hospital's COVID ward and into the ICU. The hospital is only allowing 2 visitors at a time.

My mom's step-brother took my grandpa up to see her yesterday afternoon. She is still unresponsive, however.
