I really appreciate everyone's submissions! I'm no longer considering any more at this point, but I'd like to talk about something important to me

Something I've noticed has become common in the industry lately is that the hiring process is becoming more accessible to the general public through social media.
I think this is fantastic, though it provides some challenges for the industry hopeful trying to break in:

This is why it's very important to build a following online! Post your work, your sketches even, and make friends with other artists

BE PROFESSIONAL!
Make sure you READ the entire post before you comment, and follow the instructions to a T. Often times, people will ask for an email, your rates, a link to your website, and examples of your best work. Artists who reply without including these things aren't even CONSIDERED
Comprehending and following basic instructions is a simple yet IMPERATIVE skill to have, especially when social media makes it easier than ever before to get to know your favorite artists or recruiters
Often times, these job posts blow up to the point that OP is overwhelmed with responses, so people simply don't have the TIME to deal with fishing for more information if you didn't provide it in the first place.

It's WILD to think how I've gotten most of my jobs through Facebook, of all places. But the recruiting sphere is changing, and it's important to adapt. I hope this helps some of y'all!!
And remember: be confident. Apply to the jobs you want because you DESERVE them!

SORRY I HAVE TO CIRCLE BACK TO THIS CUZ I HAVE ONE MORE THING:
KNOW YOUR WORTH
Do NOT undersell yourself, do not publicly degrade yourself, and ask for FAIR WAGES.
Be CONFIDENT even if you don't feel it

Lots of people have jobs not because they have skill, but because they have the AUDACITY. You are worth it. You DESERVE that job, and you DESERVE to get paid!
