The captaincy thread for GW3 will come tonight! I will there talk about my captain for this GW. Before the first thread I would like to make some key points what I am looking for when chosing a captain.

First of all there has to be VALUE in the pick. Just because player X has the biggest chance of scoring a goal does not directly mean it is the player with the most value to captain in FPL even tough those two correlate quite well. he has a higher chance of scoring. This is of course very simplified but the goal will be to provide picks that provides long-term value. Captaincy can not be evaluated over 1-2 GWs.
Even tough player X outscores player Y in that GW does not mean it was an ”incorrect” or a bad choice. It was correct based on the value which will be what gains rank long-term.

This is done with statistics such as Xg, opponents, form etc. Viewing previous games could also be a part of this!

This could be done by predicting how many % will captain the player or by looking at ownership.
I will infront of each GW show my captain and thoughts around the choice. I do not recommend straight off copying it. This will only be my thoughts and I can of course not predict the future.
