Again, William Barnett made two comments to Jeffrey Jensen last week that conflict with things he wrote in the draft closing memo for Flynn.

These comments also conflict with the closing memo that Barnett wrote for Flynn. In that, he said that they were also investigating whether Flynn was UNWITTINGLY being recruited. No crime is necessary to pose a NatSec risk, which Barnett's memo recognizes.

Note, this idea--of interviewing Flynn while pretending they were reviewing the clearance he had just reviewed--is one the frothers had previously pointed to as suspect.

This passage actually undermines a key complaint by the frothers. At first, Strzok just wanted to include the Kislyak transcripts in the file. But OTHER PEOPLE were still adding stuff too. This file wasn't going to be close on 1/4 in any case and Barnett said there was no urgency

This is the passage where any unbiased person would say yeah, this got elevated bc the incoming NSA was lying publicly about his convos to undermine sanctions. GOPers have elsewhere SAID it should be elevated.
