/ The government published a new #SocialValue framework yesterday which will apply to new procurements from 1 Jan 2021. Our take:
Our take:
/ The framework sets out areas of priority areas for SV to address (eg. Covid-19 recovery, economic inequality, climate change, wellbeing). Further guidance will give more detail on how to evaluate each area.
/ An important recommendation is the 10% minimum weighting - but we think this is too low.
/ Still, the framework is a positive step to embedding #SocialValue: in particular for the drive to improve diversity and collaboration in supply chains.
/ We hope to also see volunteering included in the wellbeing metrics when they are published.
/ The efficacy of the framework will depend on metrics and application (further guidance to follow from government).
/7 We will be working with @VCSECrownRep to ensure model levels playing field for voluntary organisations.
