When I saw the LinuxFX project which themed the Cinnamon desktop like a Windows desktop I decided to perform a little experiment
I installed it on a work computer of a person whose claim to being computer literate is limited to MS Word and opening a web browser

Key to this experiment was that the user was not informed about the OS change.
Also key was that I could install MS office via WINE.
So I set it up, added the printers, the softwares setup remote access and handed it over.
Waited to hear the alarm bells go off.

It's been 9 weeks.
I didn't even give the admin password.
Not a word.
Only received a 'can't print' once which was a office network issue.
Quite obvious that the real issue with Linux is just a desktop that looks different
The average joe didn't lose anything

By the way, the average Joe doesn't complain when you switch them to a Mac either as we've done with the senior members of staff
