Sunil Gavaskar mentioned Anushka's name and Anushka responded. People have a problem with the response and not how Gavaskar acted? (A thread)

The video Gavaskar was speaking about was shot by a neighbour, zooming into their backyard ( a breach of privacy&stalkerish behaviour is I have ever seen one). They never asked to be videotaped. They can do whatever they want in their backyard. No content to mock, Mr. Gavaskar.

Gavaskar should have never brought up Anushka's name during a sporting event. It has nothing to do with her, period. I wonder how Gavaskar would have felt if someone sat in a commentary box and mocked his wife? Is it only allowed because Anushka is a celebrity too I wonder?

As Anushka said, it's 2020. This stupidity began when rumours of them dating surfaced, they are married now and expecting a child and it still remains. What is more upsetting is that it is coming from an ex-international cricketer.

I understand that we are living in a world that is different, people are more frustrated than ever - with more time to say whatever they wish. But, please don't forget basic humanity and respect. Virat & Anushka are unproblematic but people love to comment negatively about them.

From speculating and accusing actual crimes on them (based on nothing but tweets from people who have no actual credentials to just trolling them mercilessly with the smallest of things. They are famous, easy punching bags. But remember they are people just like you and me.

Since I mentioned the accusations, let me say one more thing. You are accusing firstly a sportsman who is very often required to take blood tests (to check substances) of doing that very thing. You think he will get away with it as actors can? Just think about it.

Now coming to Anushka, She has always been a different 'bollywood star'. She always stated doesn't like going to parties. She's vegetarian (pretty much vegan) and doesn't drink alcohol. What exactly r you all accusing her off again? Oh & not to mention she is literally pregnant.

Oh &...wedding funding accusations. All I have to ask is, are you stupid? Virat-Anushka makes more than enough money to fund their own wedding. The wedding, by the way, was a quiet and small affair compared to most 'rich people' weddings. They didn't need funding from elsewhere.

Okay, that was my rant. All I ask is if you disagree with me is to think about the points I made. And I mean REALLY think, I am sure you'll come to the same conclusion I have. Stop going with the crowd, they can be stupid at times. Have a good day.
