That "horse on the highway" thing here in Chicago the other day seemed funny at the time, but it was profound animal cruelty. They're probably going to have to euthanize the horse because of what the rider (who was performing an activist stunt) did to it. https://news.wttw.com/2020/09/23/prosecutors-horse-ridden-dreadhead-cowboy-dan-ryan-may-not-survive
I know as much about riding horses as I do about shooting guns (you don't get to do a lot of either here in downtown Chicago, at least not as a law-abiding citizen), so I didn't realize that taking a horse over concrete is actually profoundly damaging for it. The rider did tho'.
This personally upsets me in a way I would not have predicted.
I was upset. Now I'm outright angry. https://news.wttw.com/2020/09/24/dreadhead-cowboy-speaks-out-after-criminal-charges-filed-dan-ryan-protest
Bruh you did not seriously just try the "yes I abused this beautiful innocent creature to the point of death but what other people do elsewhere is worse so really I'm innocent when you think about it" gambit, did you? Oh yes, you did.
As predictable as the sun rising, I am now getting "but what about Trump??!?" responses in this thread. Which...wow, social media either deranges people or provides exposure to the worst people, and I'm still not sure which.
