don't make me want to go on a word vomit tangent about how much i love v6. i'm trying to do some archiving work over here.
this thread is going to get personal and messy. feel free to ignore me.
v6 came into my life when i was adapting to my first (and only) ever job and carrying a heavy emotional burden all by myself. unlike other fans, who may have gotten into v6 through anime, drama or variety shows, i became interested in them after seeing a certain picture of +
masayuki in an old magazine. (you know which one). what really solidified my love towards these guys, though, was an ancient music show performance of over (i was going through a 90s pop phase back then, so Of Course i searched for old songs of theirs).
my ever-worrying heart was instantly touched by the message of the song. (and masa's dizzying pirouette, but i digress!)
their songs provide me comfort and support when i'm recovering from my panic attacks and major depressive episodes. (however (and at the risk of sounding like a scratched old cd), they're not "lifesavers" or "the cure to all my problems".)
the bond between the members is unbelievably strong. i don't see v6 as a "mom, dad, and their sons" kind of family. i think they're more like 6 brothers who respect one another's differences and, as such, give one another enough space and time to pursue their personal goals and +
grow, not just as fuckin' multi-talented artists, but also as People. this mutual respect, combined with intense support from their fans, staff and record label, is the key to their longevity. their level of friendship is one i aspire to attain with my small circle of friends.
(alas, i'm kind of an asshole.)
v6 love their fans a lot, and the feeling is mutual. i can go back to v6 whenever i want, and they can come back to us anytime, presenting us with something new and refreshing. due to my timezone and the nature of my job, i find it kind of difficult to follow every single +
+ activity they're doing at the moment, and i'm a little bummed about that (well that was quite an understatement lol). to quote amy @dekopatchi, "they are really like those friends who you might not talk to that often, but when you do you remember why they're special to you."
their pace makes everything they put out feel like a gift from said friends. a reminder that the world isn't always a cruel place.
tl;dr v6 are fucking amazing and i love them and i've lost my train of thought so i'm gonna stop here. sorry for the word salad.
