KAI HAVERTZ - A HATRICK TO ANNOUNCE THAT HE HAS ARRIVED

It's clear to see that Kai is slowly building up his game and Frank has said this several times. Barnsley was totally bamboozled by his movement, goals, passing, and surprisingly his defending.

Let's recap the show...

1/9
Goal 1:

I am certain this was straight out of training.

- Kai runs into space behind Tammy
- Mount's direct pass towards Tammy
- Tammy's dummy noticing Kai's run
- Kai with a sublime finish

Did Mount notice Kai's run too?? 🤔

Goal 2:

Excellent work from Kova to press high and win the ball. Now, look how quickly Kai drives into central space as soon as Kova wins the ball.

Tammy just knows Kai's lurking behind him and flicks it back to put it on the plate for him.

Number 10 x striker combo!

Goal 3:

Tammy was involved in every goal of Kai's hatrick. Another first time pass as he notices Kai already moving into open space. Kai's clever movement is enhancing Tammy's game.

Tammy said after the match that Kai's a genuine number 10 and he is excited to have him!

Missed Assist 1:

Kai should've had at least 3-4 assists in the game on top of his 3 goals. This just shows that the man is a visionary as well. Great pass from Emerson noticing Kai's movement and then Kai's control is brilliant.

Unlucky for CHO in this instance...

5/9
Missed Assist 2:

Look how quick Kai is to react to the loose ball. From there he drives into space and slides a brilliant pass to Mount to open the defense up completely.

This should've been an assist for Kai...

Winning The Ball 1:

- Controlled high press
- Precise slide tackle to win the ball
- Barkley goal

Once again playing in the central area and having the freedom is getting the best out of Kai off the ball. His tall frame can reach out to anything!!

7/9
Winning The Ball 2:

Look how deep Kai is to help out the team defensively. This is what impressed me so much in this match. He thoroughly enjoys the freedom and once again great pressing to win the ball.

8/9
Winning The Ball 3:

He was winning the ball from literally everywhere. Sublime movement again here off the ball. Unlucky he could not finish this but it was a tight angle.

Overall he showed his total skill set in this match. Funny thing is that this was just an exercise!
