It's never the right fucking time to address the stark discrepency in valuation of human life.
Watch us get a law making it a more serious crime to kill a police officer than a civilian before we get laws to ensure justice for people killed in police custody.
'Where's your compassion!?'

Compassion takes emotional energy, which we all have a finite amount of, and right now I'm far more inclined to direct what I have towards victims of police violence, because they're the ones not getting it from the wider general public.
