I told my grandma I was annoyed that we have to say “Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints” instead of Mormon or LDS and she said “Well, you don’t have to. You can say what ever you want. We have agency, you know.” But like that’s the problem is that we are constantly told
We have this amazing blessing of agency, but we are shamed every time we exercise it in a way that doesn’t align with the church’s teaching. And sometimes even when we do use it for “good” it wasn’t the “better” or “best” option, and so we are still shamed. I don’t know, guys.
I kind of think we have been gaslit into thinking agency is a gift because it doesn’t really seem like one to me. Or it at least feels like a “gift” with a lot of strings attached.

“Here’s a puppy, but if you don’t train him to be the number one best hunting dog, you’ll go to
Hell” thank you.

I am aware of all the flawed logic in this thread. I am merely awake at 1:03 am and pissed off about it and thinking too hard about dumb stuff.

Looks like my grandma is right and satan is winning his fight over me or some shit.
