Covid-19 has put a lot of things in perspective. A @YouGov poll overwhelmingly shows that the Welsh public have seen the importance of nature, and want to protect & restore it. To do this, the first thing we need to secure is a green recovery with nature at its heart

And this is where our representatives come in. We are calling on *all* of Wales’ political parties to commit to implementing the following five steps in their Senedd Elections 2021 manifestos. Listen up. (3/9)
Sustainable jobs and infrastructure: We are calling on political parties in Wales to commit to investing in green jobs, to get people back to work by helping restore nature. (4/9)
Strong environmental protections: We need strong environmental laws and protections if we want to take on a leading role in the world in restoring nature. (5/9)
Resilient and nature-rich land and seas: Wales’ natural spaces hold the key to sustaining life, our economy and reducing the effects of climate change. (6/9)
Healthy citizens: Our mental and physical health depends on health of our natural environment. Investing in nature means that people and nature can recover together. (7/9)
Welsh Government leadership: Our leaders must show commitment and leadership in tackling the dual nature and climate crises. Without true commitment and leadership at the top, it all falls apart. (8/9)
So there we have it. Five steps for a greener, healthier and more prosperous Wales Nothing less will do.
