Both try to change the subject from a potential fight and try rerouting the conversation

Both trying to convince the other person that if they really love them they need to “let go” of whatever they r fighting about

Again Brown talks about not wanting to push accusations because if they go there some things can’t be taken back and why go there when it’s already good? Zayn speaks of the same thing with his song as well.

Both speak that the past did happen (Z admits he still thinks about it) but if they are gonna move on they need to forget about that said past.

Both asking questions about what was happening and with who, but both don’t wanna talk about it because they know it would change things.
