I& #39;ve finished reading a book on healing magic yesterday, and while I didn& #39;t really find it that interesting (but, you know, research), it helped me understand why I could never find myself interested in this side of the occult. Paraphrasing for character limit: 1/
& #39;The Wise Woman& #39;s way doesn& #39;t waste precious time on asking & #39;why& #39; something works or is done this way. A Wise Woman asks & #39;how& #39;: how this can be useful for me? How can this help me and mine.& #39; 2/
Only... & #39;Why& #39; is important. If you& #39;re only going for & #39;how,& #39; you& #39;ll never make any progress - whether or not we treat the occult as science, & #39;how& #39; only has people parrotting the old recipes and colors of candles, without understanding anything - maybe only their wishes. 3/
I know, it& #39;s not really & #39;science.& #39; But if you treat occult seriously, it would do you well do know why you& #39;re being told to use specific herbs, minerals, words, chants, candles, and astronomical charts. Otherwise, it& #39;s just & #39;the power of belief,& #39; and you might as well just pray.
