haru wakes up to warmth.

even when he cracks his eyes open to find an empty space on the bed next to him, sheets wrinkled from use, he feels warm.

he wakes up slowly, stretching before getting up with a yawn. he& #39;s glad it& #39;s the weekend
because he doesn& #39;t have to fly over to new york today.

his eyes fall onto a small figure, curled up into a ball on the love seat by their balcony. he moves unthinkingly, feet silent as he pads over the carpeted floor to cross the room.
he seeks his touch, but even then, he feels himself halt.

the sun has just begun to rise, pouring dull yellows and oranges into the room. it colors the figure by the balcony, which haru now sees is wrapped up in a blanket, a mug resting between his hands.
more beautiful than the london sunrise was the look of contentment on his face, smile brighter than any light he& #39;s seen in his life.

he wants to look at this scene forever.

finally, his feet moves again, silent as he walks up to the other man.
he settles on the plush cushion of the seat beside him, nudging him slightly to make room for himself.

daisuke curls into him almost instinctively, and haru kisses the side of his head, good morning left unspoken. they sit in silence, daisuke occassionally sipping at his tea.
"what& #39;s so funny?" haru hears himself ask before he& #39;s even able to process the words. daisuke tilts his head back to look at him, the smile on his lips subtle, but unwavering.

"nothing, nothing.. i& #39;m just happy."
the words startle him, tugging at his heart strings until his mind clouds with nothing but daisuke.

the now very familiar sound of his laughter permeates his mind, and haru has always thought it enough, knowing and feeling that his daisuke of such little words is at peace.
haru never expected to hear the words right out of his mouth.

there are too many things he wants to say, too many ways he wants daisuke to know he feels the same way,

but daisuke chuckles, the playful glint in his eye knowing, and haru can tell that he need not to anymore.
his chest feels full.

so full of the love he feels for daisuke, it& #39;s pouring out of him. he wants to live in the moment forever, doesn& #39;t ever want to let go of his warmth.

daisuke& #39;s hands settle on top of his, squeezing gently, and haru realizes.

he doesn& #39;t have to anymore.
