One thing I like about @OneNoteEDU: Ss don& #39;t click a submit button by a due date. I tell mine, "The due date states when I might start grading the assignment. If there& #39;s no grade listed in the grade book yet, tho, you can still work on the page, if needed, whatever your reason."
For some kids, that due date sometimes represents the give-up day. Obviously there are limits, & don& #39;t want to encourage habitual procrastination, but for me, a digital workflow by its very nature provides the opportunity to think differently about due dates...
If it is due on Friday, I probably won& #39;t start looking over it til Sunday, and it& #39;ll take 2 to 3 days to get through a hundred copies of the assignment, what is the point in sticking to a rigid turn-in-physical-papers mentality when I exist in a digital, paperless workflow...
