“The bill will also create a strong “ABC” test.” - This is the very core of what has obliterated the independent contractor in California with #AB5. It is nearly impossible to meet the ABC test, especially the B part.

You guys seriously need to read this garbage. Not only does it destroy independent contractors nationwide, it really holds small businesses hostage to insane employee demands. PENALTIES FOR VIOLATING RIGHT TO FLEX—Any person who violates sec 8 shall be subject to a civil penalty, for each employee aggrieved by violation and for each day in which the employer is in such violation, of—‘‘(A) $1,000; or ‘‘(B) if the violation is repeated or willful, $5,000
So if you’re an employer and you don’t let your employees come and go as they please, get ready to pay big fines!
