Today one of my cats ate most of the strap off of one of our face masks. We took him to the pet ER. their response was to inject him with a minor sedative that induces nausea. Then they placed him on an office chair and spun him for 10 minutes.
It didn’t work. So they gave him an opiate that also causes nausea. And the spun him in the chair again. It didn’t work.
So now the plan is to feed him so much food that the elastic strap is cocooned in a huge blob of food in his stomach and passes through his system. He approves of this plan. But now he’s really full.
Anyway, this was the first time he was separated from his brother, whom we left home alone for several hours. These two have been together since birth. And today they turned 18 months. When we brought Ripley home from the ER, Hudson was waiting at the door.
Also, did I mention that the sedative and opiate has left my cat really friggin high?
