How case detection through testing compares between Mexico and Sweden. Mexico is a world outlier when it comes to testing for the virus and the officials in charge of pandemic management have repeatedly rejected calls for expanded testing & made clear sparse testing is by design.

At this point, Mexico City has the highest excess mortality of any city in the world, both in absolute terms as well as when adjusted for population.
