I hate the "same aesthetic" excuse Melanie antis use, but what about Halsey with her "teenage angst" aesthetic? Any sad male rapper "I& #39;m sad and depressed" aesthetic? Idl, everything they see is pink = babies but then be like "I love Hello Kitty/Sanrio!"

I brought up the Hello Kitty thing because some people who had the same criticism of how Melanie is using kid/childish aesthetic but then will like Hello Kitty, as people also bash it as "children stuff". You don& #39;t have to like Mel to like HK, but it doesn& #39;t make sense.

Melanie is giving up her "childish" character and mature it, that& #39;s why we got K-12 and After School. Cry Baby was supposed to grow up and mature anyways. Her whole character was meant about a child who grows and learns from the traumatic experiences she encounters.
