They want us to throw away a priceless treasure; the treasure of the great sacrifices made by pure men, women, and children. The sacrifices without which our people would have been exterminated and our country, torn limb from limb.
Anyone who does not remember these sacrifices, honour them, and understand their value... I am not interested in talking to him.

Anyone who is asking "so yeah, what was that war all about? Why was it fought?" (as if it was a holiday choice)... Such people are lost.
Let's look at just one small corner of this grand epic: A group of women who saw uniforms of shuhada discarded in ditches and decided to clean them thoroughly and redistribute them to the front lines. https://twitter.com/yaserarabshaban/status/1309103735185047552?s=20

This honorable woman is asked: how could you tell if you were giving the soldiers contaminated uniforms?

She said: we would rub the uniforms on our faces to see if our skin would react, and if our skin showed no reaction, we would know they are safe. https://twitter.com/yaserarabshaban/status/1309108534190182400?s=20
This group of women was completely unknown, and their story completely untold, until the author of this thread to whose tweets I am linking, visited Ahvaz region to make a documentary. How many other such epics are unknown and undocumented? https://twitter.com/yaserarabshaban/status/1309108762746277893?s=20
Today, the station where these women were making such sacrifices, is now home to a restaurant and a wedding hall. The effects of peaceful, stable life which _they_ made possible. https://twitter.com/yaserarabshaban/status/1309108770463768578?s=20
These women want this area to house a memorial instead. A place to remember such sacrifices. https://twitter.com/yaserarabshaban/status/1309109975785058305?s=20
