Oregairu is a series which splits opinion but one which I'll hold dear to my heart, no matter what

It'll always be a realm of nostalgic comfort in my otherwise horrid high school days

Here's a thread dedicated to this wonderful series that I love so much

#oregairu
From episode 1, I fell in love with this series with the snappy dialogues, relatable monologues and an overall offbeat and whacky set up compared to other shows that I'd seen before

From the first moment itself, I adored Hachiman and Yukino and their unique back and forths
The service club dynamic itself was something I didn't expect I'd like so much

The whole idea of stacking a hyper-pessimist loner, am isolated realist and carefree energetic girl seemed questionable at first but ironically it's what I came to love the most about the series
As S2 unfurled, Oregairu truly established itself among my favs

Watching the Service Club members grow & truly establish their unique & offbeat relationship was something I loved watching

The unique interactions is also something which drew me in and made me love them even more
The emotional subtext filled scenes is what I loved about this series

While some don't like it, it's what I enjoyed the most and it's what established the season as one of my prime favs
Now, we come to Hachiman, one of my fav MCs in the medium

While initially portrayed as some salvation for loners, I loved how the series made him transition through that stage to someone who realized his way of self-sacrifice was extremely flawed through the service club
Next, is ofc my Ice Queen Yukino

I ADORE EVERYTHING ABOUT HER

From her ice cold personality to her, her back and forth interactions with 8man to her subtle but effective development

Tho S3 disappointed in the latter aspect I'm still happy she got the best scene in the series
I LOVED THIS LAST EPISODE TOO

SHE WAS SO CUTE IN THIS OMFG

I WAS SMILING ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO SEE HER FINALLY HAPPY

Gonna read the LNs more to see what they cut so I can truly appreciate her character
Yui

A character I thought I'd hate but came to love

She's so much more than a typical Deredere & her role as the engine that keeps the service club running was something I loved more than I expected to

Love her energy and the contrasting dynamic she brings to the service club
The introduction of Iroha too added something different to the show

I LOVE her foxy nature and especially her entertaining personality

She also was imperative for the build up for THE SCENE of S2 as 8man was only able to realize his feelings for the club after that arc
Last but not least the one who started it all, Sensei

Sensei's role in the story is a weird one cause she's kinda the invisible force which is sustaining the club from the outside

Her interactions with 8man was something I loved watching and her final goodbye made me emotional
PHEW...What a Rollercoaster

I'm honestly sad it's all over as it really helped me get through a difficult period & made my life just a little bit better

I love these characters sm and they will ALWAYS mean alot to me

Once again, Thank you @watariwataru and thank you Oregairu❤️
