I know the arts *sounds* pathetic when other places make physical things you can put in shops for money. But live music brings in like a £billion a year. It leads to exports. Whether you love @edsheeran or not, Ed paid for some of your road, and we& #39;ve just lost the next Ed.

And then @coldplay helped pay for your kid& #39;s school. 21 years ago they were rehearsing. Panto pays for parks. The £101 billion that theatre chipped in each year went into our welfare system and housing. Ballerinas bought you bollards. And Gary Barlo - ok, actually, sssh
