friends of the stream had seen the segment called 'skynet' thats about an AI generating meme website.. it pulls popular phrases words and themes from the internet and plugs them into blank meme templates. a lot of the time they make no sense, sometimes they are amazing

it started off as like alphabet soup on crack. when the AI would put a good one together we'd celebrate... the whole thing felt like the fun side of the internet!

one thing we noticed was as we were getting closer to november the themes and words AI was pulling from started shifting little by little. for the most part it didnt seem to matter much, but it was definitely escalating. lil more vulgar, political and even semi racial

one night skynet went off the damn rails and wrapped all the crap spewed from the internet into a couple memes.. thankfully it was just dipping its toe in and we deaded it but it was obvious that the pool it was drawing from was getting sketchy and awful.

so that was that, skynet was instantly cancelled. but i bring all this up cause the pool that site was pulling from was THE WHOLE DAMN INTERNET. we're not even to october yet and hate speech and shithead ideas are escalating. it was a warning sign as if it wasnt already obvious

the internet is a horrifying place, people out there trying to do real damage. idk what else to say. but ill leave you with this:
