The worst types of pro-choicers are the ones who are disingenuous about what the opposing side believes.

Even when I was pro-choice, I understood that pro-lifers viewed the practice as murder. That they weren't trying to control women or send us to Gilead.

The dishonesty of this debate prevents us all from working together to do things that would naturally decrease abortions: fixing our broken foster system, educating women about access to birth control (it's cheap!), better sex ed, etc. I am so tired of the dishonesty.

We spend so much time demonizing each other that we don't fix these other issues. I don't think most pro-choicers have evil in their hearts & there is a lot of good we could do together to make women not feel that abortion is their "only option". I want to help.

In turn, the worst pro-lifers are those who fail to find compassion for women who feel like they have nowhere to turn. I have met some of these people before. There must be reconciliation in America to alleviate this issue.
