For every family God has "saved", please respect that in someone else's household, God was used as an excuse to abuse and punish. Stop trying to get those people to "accept" God and Christianity. Religious trauma is real. Just leave those people be.

I'm not telling you your God is wrong, or that Christianity is wrong. I'm just asking to please stfu because a LOT of people have serious trauma associated with church and the Christian Biblical God that will follow them for the rest of their lives.

It's not personal, it's just real. Not everyone will find peace the same way you do, and you don't need the Bible to be holy; it's just one path. Please validate people's experiences by not denying that they happened, or insisting that the abuse was righteous
